Job loss in 2009

by Lisa on January 8, 2010

I read this on cnn. My goodness I didn’t realize the severity I guess even though I know that it was a major problem and issue in 2009. But when I saw how many millions of jobs were actually loss, my mouth dropped!

The economy has lost 7.2 million jobs since the start of 2008. Losses for 2009 alone came to 4.2 million jobs, the most in one year since the government started tracking payrolls in 1939.
